Shale Gas Technology Partners

The Marcellus Shale Deposits in the states of Pennsylvania and nearby West Virginia, Ohio, and New York are among the largest in the USA and the World.

The Marcellus Shale area produced 3.1 Trillion cubic feet of gas in 2013 which is a 3,000% growth since 2008. This is being accomplished due to improved efficiency from Advanced Drilling Techniques, and better equipment and practices. The production is increasing while the rig count is decreasing. The average lateral length of a Horizontal well is now 6,000 feet and is drilled in 20 days.

Drillers operating in the Marcellus shale basin set a production record in July 2014, with wells collectively yielding more than 15 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Over 7,000 wells have been successfully drilled to date in Pennsylvania

Pa Marcellus Shale Natural Gas production has experienced tremendous growth and is now producing 20% of the USA domestic gas supply. Pittsburgh is now becoming the Energy Capital of the USA with all major Energy and Exploration/Drilling Companies having an office in the newly developed Southpointe Complex.
Pipelines and facilities are being built near Pa to convert the Marcellus Shale Natural Gas to LNG for export to Europe and Asia.

Dutch Shell of the Netherlands is proposing to build a world-class multi-billion USD "Cracker" facility near Pittsburgh, Pa. The plant would convert ethane found in the Marcellus Shale Natural Gas into ethylene which would then be produced into higher-value chemicals for everyday products.

The State Of Pennsylvania is a leader in the Environmental Protection Laws that protect the Environment and Community from the problems that can be created from the Drilling and Fracturing process. Pennsylvania has a long history since the first USA Oil Well was drilled in Titusville, Pa. In 1859

The USA and especially the State Of Pennsylvania has numerous companies that are involved in the Shale Gas Exploration and Development. These activities include 3D Seismic and Advanced Computer Models for Exploration, Advanced Horizontal Drilling, Hydraulic Fracturing, Cleaning of the Flowback and Production Water, and Remediation of the land back to its original state. The USA is also becoming a major Supplier of low cost LNG to the world.

ZTI , utilizing its Shale Gas Technology Partners, can provide the Advanced Technologies from these companies to assist China in its drilling efforts and also supply LNG to China.

USA TO BE ONE OF THE WORLD’S LEADING LNG EXPORTERS

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA is considered the birthplace of the energy Industry. People began mining coal here in 1760. A century later they were the first to refine petroleum and the first to drill commercial oil and natural gas wells.

The latest chapter in that long and proud history began in 2004 with the tapping of natural gas in the Marcellus Shale.  Pittsburgh is now the New Center of American Energy. The Southpointe energy complex is home to all of the major gas drilling companies.

The USA has a very large amount of natural gas with projected recoverable reserves of 3,374 Trillion cu ft. and is the World’s largest gas producer. The richest supply is in the Marcellus/Utica Shale in the Western PA/Appalacia area of the USA. It is currently producing almost one half of the USA natural gas production and is the lowest cost natural gas supplier in the USA.

To take advantage of this natural gas, the USA is building LNG export terminals and soon will be one of the largest exporters of LNG in the World with projected capacity of approximately 85 mtpa by 2025. By 2035 over 50% of the World’s added LNG capacity is to come from the USA. A majority of these LNG export terminals are being built in the lower USA. Other terminals are planned for Alaska. The 2018/2019 status of these LNG export terminals is shown below.

USA LNG EXPORT TERMINALS

With the widening of the Panama Canal, Supertankers can carry over 200,000 cbm of LNG. Also, LNG can be transported in ISO Containers for easy port delivery.

Soon, China will become the largest importer of LNG in the World. Therefore, a strategic relationship between the USA and China for LNG will be a win-win for both countries.

ZTI, located in Pittsburgh and with an office in Beijing, has been assisting Chinese companies in buying LNG and natural gas assets in the USA. ZTI, with over 25 years of working experience in China and over 45 years in the USA, is committed to helping you, either a USA energy company or Chinese energy buyer, find a low cost and practical solution for your energy needs.
